About the Slate
Each memorial is hand-cut from a single piece of natural slate. Because slate is a natural material, no two pieces will look exactly the same.
- Natural texture and surface character may vary between pieces.
- Smoothness may differ slightly across the slate.
- Hand-cut edges retain a natural, rustic appearance.
- The black slate is naturally waterproof and suitable for outdoor use.
Small natural variations are part of the character of the stone, making every memorial subtly individual.
