Every evening in the Swiss village of Wengen, Zora waited beside the small railway station for her owner, Matthias, to return from work. The Bernese Mountain Dog always recognised the sound of his train before it appeared between the mountains.
For thirteen years, she greeted him in the same place, tail moving slowly against the snow or summer grass.
After Zora passed away, Matthias still looked towards the station corner each evening, expecting to see her familiar shape waiting there.

He created a Personalised Pet Memorial Plaque with Zora’s portrait and placed it near the wooden bench where they had shared so many quiet reunions.
Now, whenever the final train arrives and its bell carries through the valley, Matthias pauses beside her plaque. Zora is no longer waiting at the station, but the feeling of coming home to her remains.
